Description |
This is a blue and navy blue side cap from the American Legion. This style of headware can be folded and has straight sides and a creased or hollow crown sloping to the back where it is parted. This cap is made out of wool felt. The numbers 40/8 are embroidered on one the side of the cap's flap and "796 ILL." is embroidered on the other side in navy blue thread. The rest of the hat is a lighter blue color. The inside of this cap has no lining but there is a brown leather band around the inside brim of the cap. The size of this cap is 7 3/4. The leather is imprinted with the words, "100% ALL WOOL, M.F.R. 420, DISTRIBUTED BY, 40E8 HEADQUARTERS, INDIANAPOLIS." |
